The OurMED project took part in the NATMed PRIMA Project Final Conference titled “Nature-Based Solutions for Water Resilience”, held at TAK Kadıköy (Design Atelier Kadıköy) in Istanbul.
During the event, Irem Daloglu Cetinkaya presented the Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) activities developed within OurMED. As part of the flash talks session, she shared key project outcomes and lessons learned, alongside other Mediterranean initiatives working on sustainable water management.
She also contributed to the policy roundtable “From Practice to Policy: Scaling NbS for Water Management”, where discussions focused on how practical experiences from NbS implementation can support policy development and facilitate their wider adoption across the region.
In parallel, Elif Bal participated on behalf of NextGen4MED — a youth initiative co-developed by OurMED, NATMed, and SalamMed — in the World Café session “From pilot to mainstreaming of NbS in the Mediterranean”. The session highlighted governance challenges and the crucial role of youth engagement in promoting resilient and sustainable water strategies.
The conference provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen collaboration with other PRIMA Partnership and EU-funded projects, including FIT4REUSE, SIRENA, SCORE, and CARDIMED, reinforcing synergies across the Mediterranean NbS community.
